Montréal, le 6 avril 2019, Le Collectif canadien Anti-Islamophobie (CCAI) lance un appel pour une grande manifestation le dimanche 7 avril à 12h30 à la Place Émilie-Gamelin à Montréal afin de dénoncer le projet de loi 21.
« Le projet de loi caquiste sur la laïcité est discriminatoire et porte atteinte aux droits fondamentaux des minorités religieuses au Québec, particulièrement les musulmanes portant le hijab. », a déclaré Adil Charkaoui, coordinateur du CCAI
Lors de ce premier grand évènement de contestation de PL21 où des milliers de citoyen(ne)s sont attendu(e)s, plusieurs personnalités et représentants d’associations de la société civile prendront la parole pour signifier leur opposition à ce projet de loi discriminatoire.

- Solidarité Sans Frontières, IfNotNow Montreal (communauté juive) et plusieurs autres organismes et associations religieuses ont endossé l’appel de cette manifestation.
Marchons ensemble pour empêcher la privation d’emploi (hijab, kippa, turban…) ou l’obtention de service (niqab) des personnes issues des minorités religieuses au Québec!
Marchons ensemble et ne laissons pas ce gouvernement nous diviser sur la base de nos croyances et nos origines!

Demonstration against the discriminatory and anti-hijab law of the CAQ
Montréal, April 6, 2019, The Canadian Collective Anti-Islamophobia (CCAI) is calling for a major demonstration on Sunday, April 7 at 12:30 pm at Place Émilie-Gamelin in Montreal to denounce Bill 21.
« The CAQ’s secularism bill is discriminatory and undermines the fundamental rights of religious minorities in Quebec, particularly Muslim women wearing the hijab.”, said Adil Charkaoui, coordinator of the CCAI
During this first major protest event against PL21 where thousands of citizens are expected, several personalities and representatives of civil society associations will take the floor to indicate their opposition to this discriminatory bill .
